Tursillagh 2

Tursillagh 2 is a development of 8 turbines which are an extension to the existing Tursillagh Wind Farm of 23 turbines. The new turbines are updated versions of the Vestas V47 turbine and are each be capable of generating 850kW of electricity. Construction finished late in 2004.

This project has a 15-year power purchase agreement with ESB Public Electricity Supply as a result of the AER6 Competition run by the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources. Under this contract, the project wholesales electricity to ESB who then retail it to final customers.
