The Tursillagh project was completed in 2000 and has a capacity of 15.2 MW. It has an annual output of 40 GW (40 million units) which is equivalent to the electrical energy usage of 11,500 energy-efficient houses.

The project consists of 23 Vestas V-47 turbines, each with a maximum capacity of 660 kW. The environmental benefit of the project is primarily the fact that 23,000 tonnes carbon dioxide displaced every year by the project as well as the ancillary toxic gases that are produced by burning fossil-fuels to produce electricity.
