The Dromadda
More project is proposed to have 14 turbines with an export capacity
of 32 MW. The connections have been secured as parts of the Gates
2 & 3 of the Group Processing Scheme as structured by the Commission
for Energy Regulation (CER). The project, when complete, will have
the capability of producing 84 million kWh of green electricity
per year – enough to power 25,000 energy efficient homes.
This would mean that 46,000 tonnes of CO2 will be displaced per
year, as well as the prevention of noxious emissions associated
with the burning of fossil-fuels. Construction is expected to commence
in 2010.
