Dromadda More wind farm has planning permission for 11 turbines and it has secured grid capacity of 32 MW in 'Gate 2' and 'Gate 3' of the Group Processing Scheme run by the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER). When constructed, the project will generate 132 million kWh of green electricity per year - enough to power almost 30,000 energy efficient homes. This would result in savings of approximately 95,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. The project will commence construction in 2014 and is due to be energised in 2015.
